PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor for correcting a sheet-through document feeder, which shares a memory for stripe correction and a memory for detecting the size of an original and has an inexpensive size detecting function. SOLUTION: The sheet-through document feeder correcting processor comprising a memory means 29 for reading out a document by using the sheet-through document feeder and converting the read document into an image signal in a reader, and for storing data of at least one line and more between the surface of an original and an original reading element, a dust position detection means 28 for detecting the position of dust by using the data read out from the memory means 29 and a correction execution means for correcting the data read out from the original, is also provided with a function for detecting the size of an original set on an original platen from the image data read out from the memory means 29 when reading out a book without using the sheet-through document feeder.
