PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of generating an image in which the image is concealed to prevent visual recognition and enabling the vidual recognition of the concealed image by a single operation without the need for a special apparatus. SOLUTION: The image generating apparatus generates an initial image 111 and embeds a first image 115 desired to be concealed into the R (red) component image 112 of the initial image 111 while referring to a predetermined basic pattern. Also, pixels are set for a G (green) component image 113 and a B (blue) component image 114 of the initial image 111 while referring to basic patterns different from the predetermined basic pattern, and these color component images 112-114 are synthesized.
