<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trackless type automatic traveling carriage capable of precisely and smoothly traveling with simple steering control not only on a straight route but also even on a curved route while reducing weight, miniaturizing and reducing cost of the whole carriage and reducing running cost including maintenance. <P>SOLUTION: This trackless type automatic traveling carriage is furnished with a plurality of wheels 4, 5, 6 for floor surface traveling, a wheel driving mechanism 9, a detection means 20 to detect a guiding mark 19 provided on a floor surface along the traveling route and a steering control mechanism 21 to control directions of the wheels 4, 5 in accordance with a detected result of the guiding mark 19 by this detection means 20. A pair of the front and rear traveling wheels 4, 5 supported free to revolve around a vertical shaft center against a carriage body 1 is provided on one side and the one traveling wheel 6 is provided on the other side of the carriage body 1 respectively as the wheels 4, 5, 6 for floor surface traveling, and they are constituted so that a pair of the front and rear traveling wheels 4, 5 can reversely rotate at a specified angle around the vertical shaft center by the steering control mechanism 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
