PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a debugging means to a program developer while protecting security in the development of an application program of a microcomputer in which software IP is applied. SOLUTION: In a program development apparatus, a monitor program is provided with a function for acquiring the terminal address of a hidden area from debugger software having the information of the hidden area when an address to be executed next is in the hidden area and performing STEP execution continuously up to the terminal address. Consequently debugging information in the hidden area can be hidden even in the STEP execution conducted by the internal interruption of a microcomputer core. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
