PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehumidifying operation control method of an air conditioner capable of providing sufficient body sensation while providing a resident moist feeling, in an air conditioner having a re-heating type dehumidifying function. SOLUTION: A temperature humidity judgement means 12 is provided to detect setting temperature and setting humidity from a remote controller at the time of dehumidifying operation and judges if the setting values are realized or not. After output of the temperature humidity judgement means 12, indoor humidity is increased or decreased within a predetermined range by changing the number of rotation of a compressor within a predetermined range. Sufficient body sensation can be provided and amenity can be improved as atmospheric humidity of a residential space is fluctuated and moisture quantity kept in skin of the resident is increased as metabolism at skin surface is promoted compared with when the atmospheric humidity is kept constant, the resident becomes to feel no dryness of skin and average humidity does not rise.
