#CMT# #/CMT# A remotely controlled drive system, connected to the skimmer (10), moves a pair of elongated buoyant pontoons (12,14) through water in a given direction. A net, which spans a space between the pontoons, is oriented to collect surface debris as the pontoons move through the water. Each pontoon is weighted non-linearly from its bow (31,33) to its stern (22) with greater weighting toward the stern. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# For collecting leaves and other surface debris from a swimming pool or a similar body of water. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# Can capture both exposed and submerged sections of leaves, and allows manipulation of design waterline up or down to suit particular requirements. Provides entertainment to children since it has the appearance of a model boat and it is radio controlled. Facilitates removal of debris without the need to remove the entire skimmer from the water. Allows easy access to the skimmer net due to the curved frame, and prevents tearing of vinyl linings in swimming pools when skimmer is driven into the side by providing rollers. Can be smoothly guided through a turning maneuver along the side due to the rollers. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The figure shows the starboard side elevational view of pool skimmer. 10 : Skimmer 12,14 : Pontoons 22 : Stern 31,33 : Bow.
|
