<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To classify a plurality of images into a plurality of categories with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A classification part 30 calculates a photographing time difference between the adjacent images and an average value of all the photographing time differences when arranging the plurality of images in ascending order or descending order of a photographing date, compares all the photographing time differences and a threshold value obtained from a probability function of the Poisson distribution using the average value, and performs classification processing for classifying an image group comprising the plurality of images into the plurality of categories with betweenness of two images from which the photographing time difference exceeding the threshold value is obtained as a division position of the categories. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
