<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing wrong detection of a ventilation device automatically operated on detecting a person. <P>SOLUTION: This ventilation device includes: a person detecting means 8 for detecting a change in infrared ray generated from a person entering a room; and a fan 4 for ventilating the air in the room to the outside of the room through a ventilating opening 3 for ventilating the interior air, wherein when a change in infrared ray detected by the person detecting means 8 exceeds a person detecting determination threshold, the fan 4 is operated to ventilate the air in the room. The ventilation device further includes a shield 11 for interrupting the influence of external wind so that the person detecting means 8 does not make wrong detection from a change in infrared ray due to the external wind flowing into the room through the ventilating opening 3 even when no person enters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
