摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for optical materials, which can be used for producing an optical film being strictly controlled in intraplanar retardation and low in photoelastic coefficient. SOLUTION: The resin composition for optical materials contains (1) a copolymer comprising 5 mass% or more and less than 85 mass% of (a) units derived from a monomer giving a corresponding homopolymer with positive photoelastic coefficient and negative intrinsic birefringence, 5 mass% or more and less than 85 mass% of (b) units derived from a monomer giving a corresponding homopolymer with a negative photoelastic coefficient and a negative intrinsic birefringence, and more than 10 mass% and not more than 50 mass% of (c) units each having a five- or six-membered ring structure.
