NMR spectra extraction method

Disclosed is a method of extracting NMR spectra from a sample under investigation. The method comprises subjecting both the sample under investigation and a reference sample to an inhomogeneous static magnetic field, one or more RF pulses, and one or more applied magnetic field gradients to acquire NMR sub-sample signals from two or more regions of the sample under investigation and the reference sample respectively; deconvolving the NMR sub-sample signals acquired from regions of the sample under investigation with the NMR sub-sample signals acquired from corresponding regions of the reference sample to produce a deconvolved signal for each region; and summing together the deconvolved signals for each region to obtain the NMR spectra of the sample under investigation.
