PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure pump which improves drive performance of an electromagnetic drive part for performing discharge amount control.SOLUTION: A valve member 40 is seated on and separated from a valve seat 34 of a valve body 30 provided in a fuel passage 100 and cuts off and permits a flow of fuel in the fuel passage 100. A stopper 50 includes a cylindrical part 51, and a surface opposing to a pressurization chamber side surface of the valve member 40. An electromagnetic drive part is provided on a side opposite to the pressurization chamber side from the valve member 40 and generates a magnetomotive force so that the valve member 40 moves in a valve opening direction or a valve closing direction by conducting electricity to a coil part. A high pressure pump has an intermediate passage 124, which is a substantially annular space, outside of a diameter of the cylindrical part 51 so that the fuel flowing from the pressurization chamber side toward the valve member 40 side can circulate. The stopper 50 has a plurality of passages 123 for communicating the intermediate passage 124 and the pressurization chamber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
