PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual local area network (VLAN) tunneling system which includes an ingress edge switching node to add VLAN encapsulation information to a packet even if an egress port is configured so as to act as an untagged 802.1Q port. SOLUTION: The packet is tunneled through a label-switched path (LSP) according to a multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) protocol. A current label value is replaced with a label value reserved for the packet originated from a port related to a VLAN in a second switching node from the last of the LSP. An egress switching node of the LSP receives the packet with a reserved label value, identifies that VLAN information is embedded in the packet, extracts a destination address, and transmits it to a final destination.
