PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress torque down immediately after an operating state of an engine is switched from normal combustion to purge processing in a control device for the engine.SOLUTION: An engine 10 includes: an injection valve 12 for injecting fuel into a cylinder; and a catalyst 32A for occluding a predetermined component in exhaust gas under an oxidation atmosphere and discharging and reducing the predetermined component under a reduction atmosphere. A control device 1 includes: a determination section 3 for determining the necessity of purge processing for discharging and reducing the predetermined component from the catalyst 32A; and a control section 5 for performing the purge processing by injecting fuel from the injection valve 12 at predetermined injection timing. The injection timing includes post injection timing at which post injection performed after completion of main injection and enabling contribution to torque is performed. The control section 5 causes post injection timing tp to advance, compared to post injection timing tpo when actual injection pressure Pis converged on target injection pressure Pp, on the basis of difference amount between the target injection pressure Ppand the actual injection pressure Pof the injection valve 12 in the purge processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
