The awning has brackets (10) for connecting a cylindrical longitudinal chamber to a wall. Each bracket has a receiving part (14) arranged remote from a base (12). The chamber is provided with a central shaft (54). A radial slot (24) is formed in the receiving part. The slot extends from a cylindrical housing (22) in a direction opposite to the base to respectively install each shaft through the slot for guiding the shaft along a rectilinear direction between a position remote from the wall and a position close to the wall.
