The pump (1) has two primary toothed wheels (4) i.e. cogwheels, for transporting fluid i.e. fuel. A secondary toothed wheel (8) i.e. driving wheel, is arranged between and engaged with the primary toothed wheels. The secondary toothed wheel is axially moved with respect to the primary toothed wheels by a mechanical device to vary displacement of the pump. The primary and secondary toothed wheels have equal number of teeth. The secondary toothed wheel defines a fluid inlet zone (28) and a fluid outlet zone (30) with each of the primary toothed wheels and a housing of the pump. |
