1327680 Torque wrenches NAKAMURA SEISAKUSHO KK 19 April 1971 [3 June 1970] 22995/71 Heading B3N A torque wrench comprises a tightening member 2 and a handle member 3 connected to each other by spaced leaf springs 12 having arcuate transverse cross-sections arranged with the concaved surfaces thereof confronting each other. The springs fit into arcuate slots in the tightening member 2 and an insert block 10 in which slots the springs are fined by welding or screws. Block 10 is held in place by pin 11. In operation the increase of applied torque will cause bending of the springs until a predetermined load is reached at which point the springs buckle causing the applied torque to disappear and denoting that the required torque is reached. |
