The valve 8 is actuated by a diaphragm 6a subject to the vacuum in the engine induction pipe 1 through a conduit 3. A bi-metallic strip 14 controls communication between the conduit 3 and the pipe 1 and the position of the strip is adjustable by a screw 17. The conduit 3 has a restricted air inlet 13. The screw 2 containing the strip 14 may be mounted in the pipe 1 downstream of a carburettor and a water heated portion of the pipe. |
