Solvent cleaning eg metal swarf - using less solvent and avoiding atmospheric pollution

Process for cleaning dirty objects (I) e.g. metal swarf or chips using a solvent treatment in which all the residual solvent remaining on (I) is removed in a solvent vapour zone by means of heat added to the heat of the vapour. Pref. (I) are transported through the vapour zone on the transport surface of a helicoidal vibratory elevator which has an associated steam heating pipe.
