<p>A pressure vessel feeder is charged with a weighed amount of coal corresp. to the content of one coke oven chamber and this is pneumatically conveyed through a programmed automatic multi-way distributor to a distributing and separating unit on each chamber, in which the coal is uniformly distributed by gravity to the filter holes, while the feed gas is passed to individual or common dust separating units. Process is esp. suitable for feeding dried and preheated coal where precautions against pollution by coal dust are necessary.</p> |
