<p>1328423 Dip-moulded capsules PARKE DAVIS & CO 29 July 1971 [31 July 1970] 35829/71 Heading B5A In an apparatus for dip-moulding capsules comprising a bottom-fed dipping pan 11 nested within a reservoir 10, the dipping solution 12 is directed upwards by pump 18a, 18b through a line of apertures in the false bottom 16 of the pan, where it rises to level 12a and overflows back into the reservoir, mixing of the solution being increased by the overflows from opposite sides of the pan being separated by partitions 22 extending from opposite corners of the pan to the walls 20 and floor 21 of the reservoir, and by these overflows having to pass to opposite ends of the pan to enter tunnels 25 beneath the pan from where they are drawn through apertures 26 by pump 18. The tunnels are formed between the base 17 of the pan and the floor 21 of the reservoir by side walls 23 around the periphery of the pan base 17 and preferably by a dividing wall 24 extending e.g. as shown in Figs. 4 to 6. In the embodiment lugs (not shown) locate it in the reservoir which has a water jacket 13 for temperature control. The tunnel walls 23, 24 may be a separate unit or integral with the pan 11 e.g. soldered to a conventional steel dipping pan.</p> |
