The present invention relates to a method for decoding video signals, the method comprising the steps of: acquiring block partition information of a current coding unit; inducing an intra prediction mode of a partition block on the basis of the block partition information; and generating a prediction signal of the partition block on the basis of the induced intra prediction mode, wherein the intra prediction mode of the partition block is defined as a number limited according to a prediction direction.
