The inert gas may be Ar, Kr, Ne or N 2 or mixtures thereof. The phosphorus may be introduced as WP 2 or P 3 N 5 while the partially brominated hydrocarbon may be methyl bromide, methylene bromide, bromoform or ethylene dibromide. Optionally O 2 may be present. Using the fill gas above, the steps of annealing the tungsten filaments and firing the envelope to free them of oxygen and hydrogen may be omitted.</p> |
