Double action cutting heading for electric razors, designed to offset the inability of razors with supple, perforated, static cutter shields to cut moderately long hairs, embodies reciprocating parallel, curved cutting blades (30) acting beneath the suppl e shield (35), and rigid sliding cutters (40) with rigid grilles, the two types of cutters operating adjacently in the same general plane, and the rigid cutters reciprocating and being synchronized w.r.t. the action of the curved blades. Two sets of sliding cutters (40) are utilized, stradding the oscillating blades (30), all static heads being removable. The shield is mounted on a pivotal frame.
