Transporting manure from a byre to a manure heap involves using a wheel with scraper blades rotating in a hopper. After discharging the manure, the blades pivot inwards to clear the base of the hopper. A wheel in the form of ring (3) has scraper blades (4) pivoted (8) on it. It rotates about a centre (6) in the hopper (1) space so that its blades can pick up and discharge the manure through a pipe (16). Inside the wheel is a fixed frame (5) forming part of a circle. This frame holds the scraper blades out in the operating position and then allows them to pivot inwards to clear the hopper base.
|
