The seal has an inclined arm projecting from a rectangular section base (2) which is joined to a cylindrical section extension (3) which is a push fit in a keyhole section slot in the support strip (20). The latter has a rectangular section and has upwardly pointing triangular section teeth (21) so that the support strip may be forced into a slightly narrower channel (6) in the door or window frame (7). The teeth engage the walls of the channel and prevent inadvertent removal of the seal support strip and also form a seal. The support strip is formed from a light alloy or plastics.
