<p>Rectangular frame (16) is hooked (18) onto the side of the vehicle, resting upright against stops (28). A conveyor frame (20) is pivoted (32) to it and the gas cylinder (14) pushed by hand over rollers (34, 60a, 60b, 60c) until it pushes down a lever (70). This lowers the last set of rollers (60c) and the cylinder rests on a braking surface (62). The control valve (38, 40) of a hydraulic cylinder and rod (36, 42) is opened and the cylinder lowered at a controlled rate. After use, the hydraulic cylinder bracket (48) is released by a handle (56, 58) and removed from the frame (50, 54). The unit can then be folded up. Reversing the cycle loads the cylinders.</p> |
