The lorry is intended for transporting exchangeable containers and has a chassis provided with means for receiving a container. These means consist of a lifting frame (4) parallel to the chassis (1) and connected therewith, or with an auxiliary frame (2) by pivoted parallel lifting arms (3) fixed at its front and rear. One or more hydraulic cylinders (5) are provided which are pivotably connected with a fixed point of the chassis or auxiliary frame and with the lifting frame. The lifting frame may have a V-slot at the rear and a stop at the front to align the container laterally and longitudinally relatie to the frame.
