<p>A stabilising compsn. for halogenated synthetic polymers, esp. PVC and vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer comprises: (a) 0.5-99.5 wt %, based on compsn. of a thermoplastic resin(s) contg. vinyl acetate units, (b) 0.05-98 wt % salt(s) of Zn, Cd, Pb, Sn and/or Sb, (c) opt. 0-97 wt % salt(s) of Ba, Ca, Mg, Li, Na, K and/or Sr, and (d) opt. 0-98.5 wt % secondary org. stabilisers. Component(a) acts asa secondary stabiliser. The compsn. is safe to handle.</p> |
