<p>A trigger (12) pivots about a pin (14) and is held in the ready to fire position by a spring (6). This trigger is also engaged by a double pivot arm which consists of a wedge shaped block (10) which pivots about a pin (18) held by a torsion spring (11). This block has a slot receiving the other portion (1) in the form of a lever which pivots about the same pin (18), and which has a boss receiving a coil spring (17), and a nose engaging a recess in the face of the trigger, so that when the trigger is pulled, this nose is released. This double pivot arm is forced down to engage the trigger, when a harpoon or arrow (15) is inserted, so that a recess (16) in the arrow engages the top surface (10) of the wedge shaped block.</p> |
