<p>1420453 Laminating chipboard to facing sheets HERMANN BERSTORFF MASCHINENBAU GmbH 3 April 1973 [14 April 1972] 15836/73 Heading B5N A chipboard 40 is laminated with facing sheets 44, 48, e.g. woven or non-woven fabric, plastics, printed paper, by means of bonding layers 45, 49, e.g. longitudinally-stretched plastics; the facing sheets and bonding layers are pressed on to heated drums 42, 43 by rollers 47, 51 after pre-heating the bonding layers by radiant heaters 46, 50, the chipboard is pre-heated by heater 41, and the layers are pressed between the drums 42, 43, heated at 52, and further pressed between heated drums 53, 54. Heaters 41, 52 may be microwave heaters. The laminate may subsequently be embossed or mattfinished.</p> |
