Baked shaped building materials - by moulding, drying and baking mixture of inert aggregate, soda-lime glass, and clay

Building material are prepd. by (a) mixing (I) particles of an inert aggregate, including at least 8, esp. 8-94% fine particles of soda-lime glass, with (II) figuline clay, (b) converting into a predefined shape, (c) drying, (d) baking at a temp. below 1035 degrees C to soften the glass so that it flows around and bonds the particles of inert aggregate, and (e) cooling the prod. Product is obtained at low cost, as scrap material can be used for (I), e.g. brick pieces, fly ash, ferlite scrap, and unusable glass. Product is strong and durable and has good colour.
