The door holding flat plate is made from a flat strip and it has a ratchet mechanism which is connected to the door pillar. the door hinge support is able to resist shock loads imparted on the door and this arrangement has a long working life. The bearing block has a baseplate (1) which supports a U shaped supporting bracket whose parallel arms pass through the holes in the baseplate. The connecting base of this U bracket is held on the underside of the baseplate by welds (12) or by a press fit. The arms of the support element stand out at right angles to the support plate. The arms have aligned bores (3) for accommodating a holding pin of the door hinge plate.
