1294044 Melt adhesive terpolymers FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER AG 19 Jan 1971 [20 Jan 1970] 2472/71 Heading C3P A melt adhesive terpolymer having a softening point of 125-175‹ C. contains 60-70% acrylonitrile, 30-25% methacrylonitrile and 5-10% of an ester of acrylic or methacrylic acid. The polymers are formed by aqueous phase polymerization using a redox catalyst in the presence or absence of emulsifier. In examples the ester is methyl or ethyl acrylate. The product is formed into films or filaments.
