An industrial vacuum cleaner for cleaning waste fibre from e.g. textile machines is mounted on a carriage movable along rails so that it can be moved along a line of machines. The clearer includes a motor driven double rotor for inducing a suction in a suction chamber and a pressure in a pressure chamber. The pressure chamber is connected to blower nozzles so that pressure air jets are directed onto the machines to blow off waste material onto the floor. The waste material is picked up from the floor by vacuum heads connected to the vacuum chamber.
