The drawer (2) for the workunit has a vertical front end wall (16) and comprises a one-piece moulded part (8) of foamed plastics, preferably foamed polystyrene. The front end wall (16) is designed as a support for a fascia panel (9) which covers the front side and at least the upper narrow side (21). A drawer of variable wall thickness can be obtained which still has a relatively low overall weight but sufficiently high stability. The one-piece moulded part contains all the necessary fastening devices for guiding the drawer in the housing. The fascia panel (9) can be lined with a deep-drawn sheet metal.
