<p>1447921 Pocket lighters G LAURI 5 April 1974 [6 April 1973] 15336/74 Heading F4F A gas-fuelled cigarette lighter is actuated by a push-button 4 which firstly opens a cover 14 and rotates a friction wheel 16 against which a flint 17 is spring biased and then after the major part of the button's stroke is completed opens a valve 6 connecting a fuel reservoir 9 to a burner 8. The wheel and cover are pivoted about a common pin 15 and the cover is provided with lugs 23 which engage with grooves 26 provided on an extension of the button. The valve is actuated by a portion 28 of the button contacting a lever 12. The pin is held between two flexible arms 19 which facilitates assembly.</p> |
