The machine makes the two incisions simultaneously - male and female - necessary for the joining of the two element of the graft. The movable part of the machine is guided by two cylinders sliding on pins fixed to the frame. The attachment of the incision blades is provided with elongated holes on independent blade supports permitting adjustment in depth and height relative to the pith of the wood undergoing treatment. The machine may be used for grafting both vines and fruit trees, and it may be mounted on a table.
