1503123 Heat transfer printing using cationic dyes BAYER AG 2 Feb 1976 [3 Feb 1975] 03974/76 Heading D1B An aqueous printing ink used in transfer printing of synthetic fibres, tannin-treated cotton and leather contains a sublimable carbinol base of formula in which A, B, D independently denote an aryl or heteryl radical, B may alternatively denote a hydrogen atom or B conjointly with A can form the remaining members of a heterocyclic ring system, M and L independently denote an optionally alkyl-, cyano-, or alkoxycarbonyl - substituted methane group or a nitrogen atom, or M conjointly with E and D can form the remaining members of a heterocyclic ring system, E denotes a direct bond or an N - alkyl group, X denotes alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radical and n is 0 or 1 together with a substance which has an alkaline reaction as defined, preferably an alkali metal alcoholate. In addition the ink may contain a sublimable disperse dye and is used in heat transfer printing on temporary supports by conventional methods. In an example the temporary support is cotton nettle which support is used to print polyacrylonitrile fabric at 200‹C for 30 seconds. |
