<p>The divan with adjustable outer ends has at least one bearing spring arrangement which connects the outer part of the divan directly or through an arm to the basic frame so that this outer part can be raised and then fixed in a position relative to the basic frame. At least one of the outer parts is mounted on a horizontal spindle located on the basic frame and when stressed can be swivelled clockwise or anticlockwise out of each position provided the locking means have been disengaged. The adjustment of the bed is thus carried out only by the body weight of the user. Locking of parts is carried out by hand which is possible even when the user is lying down.</p> |
