Connecting two metal sheets of a household appliance, preferably a gas cooker, comprises overlapping welding by using a laser welding apparatus, where one of the metal sheet is provided from first type stainless steel, and the other metal sheet is provided from second type stainless steel different from the first type. An independent claim is also included for the household appliance, preferably the gas cooker having the two metal sheets.
