The pistol shaped machine for attaching hanger pins on fabrics is readily handled and the penetration depth of the grooved needle can be adjusted. The transverse peg of the hanger pin with connecting flexible thread is directly moved by the pistol shaped tool trigger lever. The moulded pins are fed separately into the machine after they are broken from the moulded group. A hollow needle (3) is driven by an actuating lever (5). A ratchet wheel (16) projects into the slot (14) for feeding the pins. A ratchet lever (17) prevents the reversing of the first ratchet wheel. A feed lever (6) actuates the ratchet wheel. The needle (3) with a slot is held in the tool nose. A rod (13) is pushed into the needle directly by the trigger shaped lever (5).
