The present invention is to solve a problem of damage to a power transmission circuit due to an increase in a supplied current by appropriately controlling transmission or cutoff of electric power from a power transmission device to a power receiving device. The power transmission device includes a power transmission circuit, a third coil 26, and a turning device. The power transmission circuit includes a second coil 24 being configured to supply a first coil 34 of a power receiving device with electric power. The third coil 26 is magnetically coupled with the second coil 24. The turning device causes the third coil 26 to turn about a turning shaft 262 that intersects with a winding shaft 241 of the second coil, to change an impedance of the power transmission circuit such that the electric power is cut off or supplied.
