<p>1435877 Diagnostic composition SHIONOGI & CO Ltd 18 July 1974 [18 Oct 1973] 31955/74 Heading G1B A composition for the detection of homocystine and cystine comprises a nitroprusside salt and a reducing agent selected from sulphites, bisulphites, hyposulphites, pyrosulphites and oxyacids thereof. The nitroprusside salt is preferably the sodium or the potassium salt. A chelating agent, surfactant and/or dyestuff may also be present in the composition. The composition may be in solution or solid form and is preferably impregnated into an absorbing material to form a test strip. The absorbing material may be paper, particularly ionexchange paper, cloth or wood.</p> |
