This fryer is provided with: a base; a body formed as a cylinder with openings at both ends in the axial direction and mounted on the base so that the central axis is oriented in a substantially horizontal direction; a lid that closes one opening of the body and has an insertion section that, when inserted into the opening, prevents heat from escaping via the opening from a space inside the body to a space outside the body; a blower unit that is inserted into the other opening of the body and that circulates an air current within the space inside the body; a mount where items to be cooked are placed, which is attached to the insertion section and which, when the opening is closed using the lid, is located in the space inside the body; and a heater unit mounted in the space inside the body. |
