1470181 Polyurethanes AGFA-GEVAERT AG 26 March 1974 [27 March 1973] 13318/74 Heading C3R [Also in Division G2] Polyurethanes are prepared from (A) n-butyldiethanolamine (1 mole) and hexamethylene diisocyanate (0À98 mole) to which product dimethyl sulphite (0À8 mole) is added to give an 80% quaternized polyurethane having an average molecular weight of 10,000-20,000; (B) n-butyl-diethanolamine (1 mole), hexamethylene diisocyanate (0À8 mole) and 1,4-diisocyanate (0À2 mole) to which product dimethyl sulphite or methylmethane sulphonate is added to give an 80% quaternized polyurethane; and (C) n-butyl-diethanolamine (1 mole), trimethylhexamethylenediisocyanate (0À45 mole) consisting of 50% 2,2,4- and 50% 2,4,4-trimethylhexamethylene diisocyanate, hexamethylenediisocyanate (0À45 mole) and 1,4-diisocyanatobenzene (0À09 mole) to which product diethyl sulphate (0À8 mole) is added to give an 80% quaternized polyurethane.
