<p>The tool is used to make collars on main pipes for soldering or welding connections of branch pipes. The tool set includes a hole cutter to provide the necessary opening in the main pipe for further shaping by another tool with a hook-shaped rotary end fitted to a shaft and seated in a bell-shaped guide support. The rim of the support is shaped to fit the surface of the main pipe. The lower end of the shaft is tapped to accommodate tools of different sizes for different-sized pipes and/or branches. The upper end of the shaft carries an adjusting nut by which the operating height of the hook can be set.</p> |
