<p>A device for cutting trees that is tractor attached and hydraulically operated and includes mounting structure for attachment to a tractor, a carriage on the mounting structure capable of vertical movement and a blade assembly mounted on the carriage for swinging movement from a generally horizontal, lowered operating position to a substantially vertical elevated folded condition. The blade assembly includes a forwardly extending stationary anvil and a horizontally reciprocal and forwardly extending blade movable toward and away from the anvil for cutting a tree positioned between the blade and anvil with the unique structural and operational features of the device enabling operation thereof by employing only two hydraulically operated piston and cylinder assemblies.</p> |
