<p>A rolling device for clay and similar material comprises a pair of rolls, one of these is mounted in stationary bearing on the base frame, while the other roll is (horizontally) displaceable relative to the first to vary the roll gap This displaceable roll is applied onto the stationarily mounted roll by a pressing appts. comprising a rotatably mounted shaft carrying at one end a radial arm which is connected by means of a linkage mechanism to the holding and pressing elements of the displacing roll in such a manner that any displacement of this displaceable roll results in a proportional rotation of the radial arm. An adjustment device enables the posn. of the displaceable roll to be modified without changing the posn. of the radial arm, while an adjustable arrester device acting in the opposite direction determines the gap between the two rolls.</p> |
