<p>The self-adhesive label (1) for perishable foodstuffs etc. has the final selling date pre-printed on it. The label is rectangular and its longer side measures more than the perimeter of the article to be labelled, to allow the label (1) to be wrapped around it. A date column is printed on the front of the label (1) parallel to one side edge, the first part of the column comprising the names of the months and the second part the years. The other side edge of the label has a number of slots or apertures (3,4) stamped in it, this side edge overlying the first when the label is wrapped around the article, so that one month and year are visible through these apertures (3,4).</p> |
