<p>The safety device is for the transport of items held between grips formed by two parallel plates movable in the vertical direction. Slippage of the load is detected to actuate a brake for stopping it. These units can be mounted on plates (3) of low height at the lowerd ends of the grip plates (1,2) and sliding vertically, on the faces of these plates towards each other. The detectors can be elastic devices protruding into the space between the grip plates, and inflated by a medium under pressure, or alternatively swing arms, there being a groove in each plate accommodating the end of the opposite arm.</p> |
